Siren Red Crepe Myrtal

Today in an interview: Jenny Rossberg

1) What did you do before your life in the GP?

The Current: birth, kindergarten, school, graduation, training as a social assistant (or: Children enjoy Erin), study, and then I have been doing casual work for several months. Then I applied for and was hired as GamePro Traineuse

2) Tell us something about you ...
Why has it taken up by the beautiful Rhine to the Isar?

As hard as it was not me lure of the Rhine. Yes because I have only in recent years during the study lived there, originally I am from Lower Saxony. Also, I wanted since I about 14 years old was determined to work in the video game industry. There is the Traineeship at GamePro exercise of course a huge success for me and for this opportunity to, I was drawn also likely to Timbuktu

3) Video games are more a male domain ... how did up the "V" virus-infected?

I play video games since 1989. At that time I have often gambled with my brother, my cousins on the C64 and the Atari. Shortly thereafter, it has done to me then the chunky, gray Game Boy, followed shortly after the Master System by SEGA. Where the interest came originally, I know but do not remember exactly. In any case, I'm in my circle of friends and family now the only one who still regularly ripped off video games.

4) Your "Must Have" for the summer of 2010?

I love the horror genre so I'm just waiting to see "Alan Wake" for the 360. If indeed as early as May, but is still my summer highlight I hope my expectations will be fulfilled ...

5) You are stranded on a desert island and allowed to take three men ... Who?

food is important, so I'll take a cook who can cook the meager food to me on the island tasty. Then another (Such as collecting wood for the camp fire) man for the dirty work and a cuddle

6) What is the day of trainees from among you?

When I come to the office, I cook first coffee for the stressed Henry, that he somehow survives the day. Then I dove Kais action figures carefully, and then it's time for Mark's foot massage ...
kidding aside, I basically do the same, do what the editors too. I get games for testing and look at this in detail. Then I write an article and make the corresponding video. Now and again I'm still Specials the site and also visits to publishers are not uncommon. Even after Japan, I was already sent to meet with Shinji Mikami and me his new game "Vanquish" look.

7 Will) you adequately treated by the men in the newsroom? ... Even if the coffee does not taste good times ...

I am becoming very well treated. That's just the advantage when you're the only woman in the newsroom. In particular, Henry is very caring and has a strong maternal side

8) You will be beamed into the year 1980 and allowed to take one console and three games. How do you show the Atari VCS junkies what the future looks like?

I am of course with nothing. Films like "Back to the Future" have taught us that we must change not the past

9) How difficult is such a Japan-study and what did you mean before?

The study of "Modern Japan" (the official title ) is very learning intensive. Only about half of the students creates the conclusion, as it is riddled rock hard. Although I'm actually very lazy learning, for language courses have won a lot of cramming. Fortunately, I have to study then packed at once, without turning a lap of honor in the Japanese classes have.
For Modern Japan and Germanic way, I've decided, because I wanted to be a translator for video games. However, my Japanese for the job is unfortunately not nearly good enough

10) Someone gives you 200 million euros. What do you do with the money?

First I would buy myself a fancy, large Full HD TV and once again make extensive holiday in the sun. Then I would distribute some Milliƶnchen to my family and put the rest on the curb. Is now indeed a boring but honest answer for

11) Better luck in the game of love?

Of course not, because who really likes to be alone?

12) Highlights of your video game collection?

My absolute favorite games, and therefore the highlights of my collection are "Silent Hill 2" and "Final Fantasy X" for the PS2. My retro consoles, which I have each have the original packaging include, but I also particularly dear. So it is with my "Secret of Evermore for the SNES, I'm also still in the original box and with the included solution book on the shelf ... And I guess that my signed by Shinji Mikami copies of "Biohazard 2" and "Resident Evil 4 "probably could still call highlights.

13) Will there be yet more threads like the Quasselthread of you? ... (the only time I "is not moderated and PhanZero have read in a thread ...)

was unfortunately my Quassel thread during my vacation so once again closed for no reason. But I do not give up so easily, it will definitely be a sequel

14) Do you have a link that would save you if it would be hard to come to the crunch or are you assigned?
... half the forum would get me on the roof if I did not ask this important question of all ..

very clear answer: Yes and No!

15) And lastly ... a sentence on the forum.

Since most users in our forums we know, are male, you can study there, well the thinking of you guys. Real exciting, just like in the newsroom

How To Prevent Ugg Creases

The top 10 threads in Smalltalk Forum

The Smalltalk-area GamePro forum is such a thing ... sometimes busy, sometimes there are huge lulls where nothing happens. New topics are often scarce, because no "obligation" feels a thread to open - especially as the old top-opener as Hirschchen or tarmfreak so slow old. * G *

Yet they are alive, the most visited threads! You hold high the banner of the Smalltalk-range. In this thread is posted with a regularity that it is a joy! Since there are forums games, images, threads, joy and anger ... and of course love. And all together in the most beautiful video game forum in the vastness of the Internet!

The top 10 threads in the Smalltalk-range I would imagine here. With a total of 1,596,773 hits and 65,891 posts comes together quite a bit. I refer to the level of 6 March 2010 at 13h, closed threads I've left out. Let us therefore, once the top 10:

10. Place: anger and nervous Thread - 98 334 hits, 4183 Posts

The "anger and nerve-thread" is the only thread in the list with less than 100k hits. However, this thread in the Top 10 again refers. How come? the GP community were really, as often about something? Of course, it is! At the most annoying question is -o-matic , with 353 posts, he cites this thread. But how is it that our frago is so annoyed? Is it his job? At his school work? On its way? Should we not think that a man driving the loose 20k km a year with the wheel, is balanced and calm? Well, far from it! In the "anger and nerve-thread" everyone can sometimes throw up and say what he really does not fit. Probably the thread, we are therefore also so popular - after all, we live in Germany, the mecca of whiners. And ask-o-matic is our prototype!

The "Be happy thread" ranks ahead of his counterpart, the "anger and nerve-thread" in 8th place to rejoice's always worth a post. Is it that the school has failed, the beloved game has finally arrived, or just outside, the sun seems - his joy is shared just like always. Apparently swung the joy in the past, but so many on so that the Freu thread had to be closed twice already. This is already the third attempt. If one were to pool all Freu thread, then this would easily end up here at # 1. But as sometimes happens: Reboot is good. And who is looking forward to most? bert barth with 372 posts. In this sense: Woohoo! The sun is shining and it's the weekend! * G *

This thread is there is feedback on to give. Come to my signature? If I might still change the colors or the alignment? The thread may well be regarded as useful, because after all, the best signature in the annual GPF-election rewarded. Of course there are philistines who hide the signatures for the purpose of readability of the forum easy. A slap in the face to all who have made a lot of trouble with their signature.

to "ugly new Day, Crazy New Topic" you need not say much more really. Every day is given a new theme, sometimes crazy, sometimes less crazy and now and then one finds that even disgusting. Who will read or post here, should not be squeamish. Here, both bearded women, and leg shaving and faeces are dealt with - each limited to 24 hours. It is, of course everybody is free to make his subject as he wants, but what the users ultimately make of it, is another matter. When the thread was still relatively new, it has been lurking regularly to 0h to be so well the first one to specify a new topic. Meanwhile there is ever a few days without new issues. "Ugly New Day Topic has crazy new "get here in the blog also has its own thread idea, then just drop by. We reach the top three of the most popular threads in the Smalltalk-range. "Why are you still up?" Made it onto a brilliant 3. Place, with the first time over 200,000 hits! Here, anyone can write pure, between 23h and 5h is still alive - or get up and again. And who is the "early bird / late into the lodgers in our forums! Our chef Hirschchen here is very far ahead. This is still not at his grueling job as a cook? Maybe the thread is also just as popular as video players anyway need fundamental lack of sleep and increased night active. So actually the same as in hamsters. Perhaps we should make every video player a huge hamster wheel in the basement ... For food is usually taken care anyway: or hoarded her about no frozen pizzas, Chips, cola and beer? Na ALSO!

first Hirschchen: 441 Posts
second Arthur Spooner: 288 Posts
third Bothex: 213 Posts

second Place: The Heulthread - 208 519 hits, 8992 Posts

"Anger and nerve-thread" on # 10, "Rejoice Thread" on the 8th place .. and the "Heulthread" made it even to the 2nd place! The feelings of the community seems to go haywire. But three of these threads end up in the top 10 most popular threads. And apparently quite often which gamers to tears. Is our hobby really so sad? It was actually not so ... But apparently, life seems generally more likely to howl be. Viewtiful Flo can tell you a thing. With much distance he is absolutely in our forum, the cry-baby! What Viewtiful Flo say?! I have seriously tried to ask him, but, besides whining and howling was not much around at. Keep your handkerchiefs ready when you enter this thread! Video games are just but not unfeeling monsters.

first Place: (First) love - 211 135 hits, 7140 Posts

I have just spoke of "unfeeling monsters" and here we are all not in the forum. The best evidence for this is probably our # 1! Because this goes to ... * Drum roll * ... 1st place goes to the (first) love "thread! Who would have thought it? Apparently love is in our video game forum not a small issue. Here everyone can share this wonderful matter. Of course, a constantly standing with help and advice. Top Poster is none other than bert barth - comes in the thread and read about his failed love stories! Do you want tips? Then you are with him in the wrong address. He will only accept tips! Whether he carries them is yet still questionable ... I've heard from a reliable source, however, that he is trying to learn from his mistakes and always improve. * G * The love thread here on the blog is also a separate dedicated thread idea. Check it out!
